Trading Online Voucher

Get a government grant of €2,500 for your site

The Trading Online Voucher helps small businesses with up to 10 employees to trade more online, boost sales and reach new markets. There is up to €2,500 available through the Local Enterprise Offices with co-funding of 50% from the business

What can you use the voucher for?

Develop a new or redesign existing website

Create a new or redesign a website for your business once there is an option to pay or book good or services on the site

Add payment or booking features to your site

If your current site is lacking these functionalities or you want to improve your current ones then this could be eligible

Digital consultancy & training

You can use the voucher to get expert's advice on how to best use your online presence

Advertising online

Some of your grant can be used for online advertising like Google Ads or Facebook Ads

Digital subscriptions

For subscribing to online retail platforms like Shopify, premium plugins for your site or any software that is directly related to your online selling.

Photography & videography

A percentage of your grant can be used for photography or videography

Who can get the Trading Online Voucher?

These requirements are essential. Contact me or your Local Enterprise Office for more info.

Trading for at least 6 months

Once you have been in business for at least 6 months you'll likely be deemed eligible to apply.

Employ less than 10 full-time staff

You may be eligible to apply once the amount of hours worked adds up to less than it would be for 10 full-time staff.

Limited online trading presence

Your website is outdated, not fit for purpose, doesn't allow people to buy products or book services, or is not working properly

Annual turnover <€2million

It's required that your annual turnover is less than €2,000,000

Attend the online training

Currently all done online through your Local Enterprise Office. You can attend the Trading Online Voucher training session through any Local Enterprise Office.

The application process

Currently all done online through your Local Enterprises’ website. Find yours here. You can attend the Trading Online Voucher training session through any Local Enterprise Office. There are regular sessions at the Dublin City and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown LEOs.

On the training call you will be shown how to register your attendance on your local enterprise office’s site. This is key for your application

You have to get quotes from 3 different suppliers for the work. You need these when submitting your application

Answer all the questions on the online application page. Submit your application

If you are accepted to receive the grant you will be given 4 months to get the work done. 

Once the project is complete, submit your receipts and drawdown apppliaction to your LEO. Then you should receive your grant soon after
